Fall is right around the corner but summer ain't over yet. Well, at least not in Houston, Texas. I'm not ready to switch to Pumpkin Spice or bust out my fall candle yet. I really love summer and the heat! So I'll be enjoying my refreshing smoothies after a sweaty outdoor home workout as long as possible. You can usually find me slurping a green smoothie but today I thought I'd play around with a little color just for fun and make a Matcha Pink Smoothie.
You'll basically be making two smoothies and layering them. I promise it's not as hard as it looks!
Matcha Pink Smoothie
For layer number one (green) you'll need to blend:
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup ice
1/2 scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder. I use this one.
1/2 tbsp of unsweetened matcha powder
1/4 cup of spinach
For layer number two (pink) you'll need to blend:
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup ice
1/2 scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder. I use this one.
1/2 cup of frozen strawberries
Layer the colors and ENJOY!
Notes: *The key is to make sure you smoothie is blended well and not too watery. Pour the green smoothie in at a slanted angle then gently add the pink smoothie on top or spoon it in.
